Dear Actors,

At the heart of YATC we inspire young artists to realize and embrace their individuality in a professional environment that is not fear-driven.

"The Audition" can be the pinnacle of stress and fear in an emerging actor's career and development.  YATC helps you replace that nervousness with proven strategies, a clear plan, and the embodying of our core value:  Cultivation of your uniqueness is essential to your development as an artist, while negative self-comparison in art dilutes this asset. Combined with technique, our approach builds confidence and frees you to reach your potential and dreams.

Recognizing that our student’s needs range widely, we’ve developed multiple avenues of exploration for you - the Workshop Series, the Program Entry 6-Week Prep Course, and Private Lessons. These opportunities for involvement ensure that every student will be challenged and supported through a diverse array of exciting classes!

Throughout our own journey, the most memorable teachers and mentors of impact were those who uncovered and nurtured our uniqueness. We strive to do the same for you!

About YATC:
(YAHT-SEE!!) -- Young Actor's Training Center is New York City's premiere audition & program entry prep center created uniquely for emerging actors. Through intensive workshops, seminars, multi - week courses, and summer programs we build awareness and a creative perspective towards "The Audition".

Scott Miller, John Patrick, Liam Joynt, & Corinna Sowers-Adler founded YATC with an accumulated forty years experience in both the craft and business of acting. We have taught at every level from graduate school to grade school. (click names for full bios)

  • John Patrick, Former Director and Featured Teaching Artist with the nationally renowned youth theatre company, CYT.

  • Liam Joynt, Producer for Mile Square Theatre and former Assistant Director and Board Member for The Circle of Life, a camp for young adults with diabetes.

  • Corinna Sowers-Adler, Former Director of Theatre at Wilkes University Conservatory and Founding Director of the Foundations Series at YATC.
